Palos Verdes.........20"x 24"........oil on canvas...2005
Couple of friends took me to this area of Palos Verdes Estate. It was actually a clear day. I took a shot, thought about it for a while, and decided to paint this version of sunset with some clouds.

Keewon... you rescued this picture from being something from a souvenir shop at Disneyland.. Your treatment of the clouds is excellent. I generally hate sunset pictures.. even the good ones... this one squeeks by... good job! BTW I didn't know you liked civil war music... don't think I can remember any... ;-)

Kee,many songs from the civil war from north and south carried the same melody with different words. Often only a river separated southern and northern troups. Melodies drifted over the water but words were inaudible. There was 2 part lp put out in 1963? maybe called the centenial civil war album with just music that would make you cry. You might want to research it.
Perhaps you are our modern day Caravaggio, I also love his work.

Michele, Thank you for the info.
I will check it out.
There is a lot out there of civil war materials. I just love reading about that era of american history.

Michele and Ron,
I am very greatful for your mentioning of great old master's name comparison to my work.
Even little drips of their pigment on their studio, "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!"
