I painted this portrait at the same time I painted the other one called "Hiker"
I have refine this one more than the "Hiker".
I decided use photo instead of using mirror. The mirror will flip the image
and not see as other person will see me.

This piece was three hours long pose at the Jennifer's Los Feliz Workshop. I can't remember if it was Jennifer or Marrissa made that head piece but it reminded of some sort of Goddess of the nature so the title goes.

Portrait of my friend Scott's dad. We were up at his ranch in Lonepine and he set for me while having his cocktail.

I did a two hours study first and did this finished one from photo and sketch.

Read a book by Frank E. Vandiver called Mighty Stonewall. I've painted this portrait of him from the picture that was taken two weeks before his death. One of the legendary general of confederate army that Lee couldn't do without until his death in May of 1863. Shot by his own man during reconaissance stroll with his staff in the cover of darkness at Chancellorsville he was mortally wounded and died 8 days later. It was very intrigue and fasinating read. I will be painting more of American Civil War images. What a amazing time that was.
